for Younger Faculty

Aims of Professor Smith and 6U-HAPPIER:
- Encouraging inspired and enlightened teaching in all situations
- Using our own research and experience in our teaching
- Exploring differences between training, teaching and learning
- Stimulating university students to become lifelong-learners
- Provoking and supporting in-class interaction with all students
- Promoting the key role of engineering in solving global issues
- Broadening our interests beyond a single narrow specialization
- Supporting critical discussion and informed debate in English
